The Slots Random Number Generator
In the slot machine, the Random Number Generator ( RNG ) is the primary part that makes this machine works. There is also a microprocessor that is being placed inside the machine. Just like a personal computer, this microprocessor runs the program in the slot machine. This program is the RNG in the slot. The RNG is responsible for the numbers that are being selected together with the slot machines' symbols that were placed on the reels. The RNG continuously selects the numbers at random with the speed of a fraction of a second in the sets of numbers in the slots. This Random Number Generator can come up with almost any number, (negative numbers not included ), and then converts some group of numbers that will go with the symbols on the reels. Due to this, each spin that is generated gives a result which is connected to the number that is being selected by the RNG. The number in the slot comes out if you put a coin in the slot or press on the spin button.
The Random Number Generator, similar to a computer program uses an algorithm or formula to create series of instructions in producing the numbers. The micro-processing technology that is installed in the slot machine is responsible for the various virtual stops. With this, lots of combinations are produced and each full set of combination is called a cycle. But this doesn't mean that the slot machine has a cycle of winning and losing. It is not true that the number combinations come out not only once and that it will have another cycle. This is just a myth.

Any symbol on the reels may come up at an unpredictable number of times or not t all, because the RNG will not get from each space in the reel for an equal number of times. This is the nature of RNG that makes it random. It has the principle of getting a number from the sets of numbers inside a hat. However, this number is being returned to the hat, so there is a tendency of picking up again this number at the next RNG selection or not at all
Sometimes there are instances when a player leaves the slot machine and the succeeding player quickly hits the jackpot. Should the first player stayed a bit longer in playing, he should have won the jackpot. Added to this, the first player just makes things easier for the second player to win. This is really happening and can anytime happen because of the random nature of selection by the RNG. The numbers are selected randomly, and these are done in small fractions of a second. The first player could have hit the jackpot at exactly the same millisecond that the second player had. So, bear in mind that winning in the slots requires some patience also.
